Not long ago, New York City looked more like an empty movie set than the big, bustling city we were used to. Sure, we’re used to movies being filmed here - but we’re also used to ridiculously busy streets and that NYC vibe we all crave!
Now, not only does it seem like the city is more alive and busier than ever - but even the heatwave can’t seem to stop us from getting out and enjoying all the city has to offer! 80-degree weather? No problem! 90-degree weather? Let’s do it! 100-degree weather? OK - maybe we should find some air conditioning.
Seeing NYC alive and kicking again has made this summer beautiful (no matter that temperature). I wanted to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to all of the essential workers that made it possible to get to this place. Without all of our state health care workers and front-line responders, we would have never navigated the pandemic so quickly (our healthcare workers navigated this thing like an expert yachtsman trying to win the big race, and they did it!). All of us at ManhattanTechSupport will be eternally grateful!
Big, Huge, Major Announcement Time: The cream of the crop always rises to the top! MTS is proud to announce we’ve made it to the Channel Futures MSP 501 list for the third year in a row. Can we call that a triple crown? Sure we can! This is a GLOBAL list of Managed IT Services Provider – and there are 40k MSPs in the US alone – who knows what that number is globally, so to be from the top 501 in the world is a major accomplishment. We get the job done by truly being a WORLD-class technology partner. We’re not bragging, we’re just telling the truth, and truth that sounds like bragging is the best kind, so high fives all around!

NEW Blog - Explained: Supercomputers
Supercomputers aren’t those big, living room-sized contraptions from yesteryear. Supercomputers are here and can do incredible things (though we still haven’t asked them to write these newsletters yet because they’d spend this entire paragraph complimenting themselves on how great they are). Learn the past, present, and future including quantum computing, which countries are the most advanced right now, and how they are being used to further civilization. Yes - civilization!
NEW Blog - The Anatomy of a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan (CSIRP)
We’ve all seen the headlines, and no, not just the ones about the Kardashians. We’re talking cyber attacks, and they’re happening everywhere. It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN. Yikes. What’s amazing is less than 20% of organizations have a CSIRP in place (and in many cases not having one is a regulatory compliance violation). We break down the anatomy of a good CSIR and help you be prepared. Cyberattacks are the worst and can cost huge amounts of time and money with nothing to show for it afterward. Let’s get you prepared so you can spend your money on celebrating another day of thwarting an attack instead, like the superhero you are.
NEW Blog - How To Use Technology To Gain A Sustainable Competitive Advantage
There is a big, beautiful island in the business tropics calling your name right now. Want a ride to get there? Businesses can create a competitive island if tech is done right. Think of it like a mega-exclusive party island where everybody wants to get in, and all the other islands can’t even compete anymore. Not only are their parties boring, but they all also look like parties from the 90s. Lots of plaids. Lots of standing around. Modern technology advancements make your business better, faster, more streamlined, and untouchable. No time for standing around! The investments can be worth it, and the island is available for you. Blindness, Daryl Roth Theatre (101 East 15th Street, Manhattan): This one has all of the praise, and deservedly so. The acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of Blindness from Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago’s dystopian novel by Tony Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens. It’s the gripping story of a world changed forever, reminding us that from the darkness we all come out even stronger.

Twilight Invades Netflix Live through the angst, excitement, and outrageously nostalgic fun of Twilight as every movie in the series drops on Netflix this month. An instant conversation starter with anyone who lived through the first few major theatre releases, you can also catch up on everything you may have missed (because let’s be honest, no one saw Breaking Dawn 2 the first time around).

Lately, I Feel Everything (Willow Smith aka WILLOW) Yes, Will Smith’s daughter - and yes, she’s making great music (we weren’t sold initially either, don’t worry). Featuring collabs from Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker, punk queen Avril Lavigne and more nostalgia-inducing sounds that scream of yesterday with a modern twist, this funky album is one you may be surprised you love. Give it a try, even if it’s just because you loved Fresh Prince.
